Measurement of Distance and Speed
Plug the ultrasonic motion sensor into slot #8 (by default). Press keypad "D7" to measure the distance (m) and speed (m/s) of an object from (or relative to) this sensor over a period of 5 to 10s.

Remarks:

1. Since the speed of sound is dependent on the air temperature, the ultrasonic sensor results will be automatically corrected for the temperature factor using the temperature recorded by another internal sensor of the mobile logger.

2. The object to be measured should be located within a meter away from the ultrasonic sensor and its cross-section area should be larger than that of the sensor.
